Since I can remember myself I have always been passionate about maths, computers, science and anything technology related. I would spend searching for information and learning about them most of the time available to me.
The interest in maths helped me to leave Lithuania where I was born and go to study at Gordonstoun School in Scotland. From there I got accepted to study Maths and Computer Science at Cambridge University, but an economic crisis has broken out in Russia in 1998 and I had to find a job instead of studying.
The next 12 years I spent in St. Petersburg - starting up a business, getting a Master's at St. Petersburg State University, an MBA from the High School of Management of STSU and Fuqua School of Management in South Carolina. And, of course, using any chance to program, although mainly for my own company needs.
In 2013, I suddenly realized that building one of the best springs manufacturing factories in the country, with nearly a hundred of employees, substantial turnover and profits, does not however bring the same level of joy as writing a few lines of code.
So, I moved to Tenerife. Finished the Edx 169 courses and few others to get up to date with technologies and now I am basically doing what I always wanted - learning, programming, designing software architecture.
I have many ideas buzzing in my head, all SaaS related, so sooner or later my new company DreamIT Tenerife should make a name for itself.
